Archery

The Archery Section contains a twenty-eight position combined Field / Hunter course and a practice range up to eighty yards, a sand pit for shooting broadheads is also provided. The fourteen position hunter course includes 3 treestand shots with 3 targets per stand. The Archery Section is encouraging new members and hopes to see more youth take up the sport.

2011 Archery Schedule

For 2011 we have completely revamped our archery activities. Starting in March there will be 3-D target shooting seven days a week. Target shooting will remain the same as before.

There will be no archery tournaments in 2011 due to the decline in tournament attendance over the past few years.

Also new for 2011 will be $10 3-D Fun Shoots which will include a BBQ on select Sundays from April through October. The specific dates are posted below and will also appear in the Upcoming Events sidebar.

During the past year we have had poor attendance at our work parties. Your volunteer help is essential to the maintenance and upkeep of our field and bush sections. We are asking all archers to make a concerted effort to attend at least three of the five work parties each season. Your participation in the upkeep is greatly needed and appreciated by all who use it. A hot dog BBQ with soft drinks will follow all work parties. We have the best archery range in Southern Ontario but it takes your volunteer help to keep it that way.
