Silver Horseshoe Trap League

Information

Shooting fees are as follows –
League Registration $5.00
Targets $9.00
Lewis (optional) $5.00
Hidden Score (optional) $1.00
The Lewis will be divided every 20 entries or major portion thereof, minimum of 4 classes, 50-30-20 High Gun.

Junior Shooters

(18 years or under)
The League will reimburse the host Club ($9.00) for targets and the League will absorb the registration fee for Juniors shooting targets only.
If a Junior shooter wishes to play the Lewis option then they must also pay for the targets and registration fee.
The Hidden Score option may be entered in either case.

The following pages summarize the current rules & regulations of the Silver Horseshoe League.

  1. S.H.T.L. Shoots
    Shoots are to be held the third Sunday of each month beginning in September.
  2. Registration
    Shooters must register by 1:00 p.m. the day of the shoot.
    Shooters unable to attend due to a prior commitment may shoot ahead, within three (3) weeks of the scheduled date, at the Club hosting the shoot. This option may be exercised twice only during the season. The score will qualify for the Club team, High 400 & 300 trophies and classification requirements. The score will not be eligible for Lewis monies. The score will also be eligible for Hidden Score if option paid.
  3. Shooter’s Responsibility
    Every shooter is responsible for checking the master score sheet before leaving the Club. Any score under protest must be corrected the day of the shoot.
  4. S.H.T.L. Bulletin
    Following each shoot the Lewis & Hidden Score monies will be mailed to each Club Rep. The monthly report will include the Club Team scores, Pin winners, pay-off winners, Team standings and a list of the shooters scores & averages.
  5. Scoring & Point System
    The top (8) eight scores from each Club will count for the Team score.
    Club Standing
    1st place = 4 points
    2nd place = 3 points
    3rd place = 2 point
    4th place = 1 point
  6. Trophies & Awards
         SHTL Pins - Awarded to top 8 scores for each Club. One (1) pin per Shooter
         SHTL “50” Pins - Awarded to any shooter with score of 50 straight. One (1) pin per shooter
         High 400 / League Trophy - Awarded to shooter of high score for the League on 400 targets.
         High 300 / League Trophy - Awarded to shooter of high score for the League on 300 targets (best 6 scores including at least 1 shoot at each Club).
         High Senior Veteran / League Trophy on 400 targets
         High Veteran / League Trophy on 400 targets
         High Senior / League Trophy on 400 targets
         High Junior / League Trophy on 400 targets
         High Lady / League Trophy on 400 targets
         High 400 / Club Trophy -  Awarded to shooter of high score for each Club on 400 targets.
         High 300 / Club Trophy -  Awarded to shooter of high score for each Club on 300 targets (best 6 scores including at least 1 shoot at each Club).

         Class A 42.0 to 44.9
         Class B 40.0 to 41.9
         Class C 35.0 to 39.9
         Class D up to 34.9

Shooters must shoot minimum of once at each Club to be eligible for trophies, etc.
A shooter may win one (1) trophy only for the year. Trophies awarded in order of League (High 400 & 300, Category, Club High 400 & 300); Class Shoot (Category, Class).
A shooter with a 50 straight in the season is an automatic AA class.
Shooters may be classified based on known ability.
Ties will be decided by shoot-off of 10 targets (2 per post) on the day of the class shoot. Failure to report for shoot-off will forfeit. If necessary, Winners may be decided by reverse score.
Class winners will be advanced to the next class for the following year.

A Junior shooter is 18 or under.
A Senior shooter is 60 to 65 years of age.
A Veteran shooter is 65 to 70 years of age.
A Senior Veteran shooter is 70 or over.

(Category declared at first shoot will be maintained for the season)
(A female shooter 18 or under may declare either Junior or Lady but not both – only Junior category qualifies for free targets)
